International Conference on Humanities

Yarkin Academy of Humanities is pleased to announce our annual International Conference on Humanities, scheduled for October 15-17, 2023. This year's theme is "Bridging Traditions: Humanities in a Global Context," focusing on the intersection of traditional humanities disciplines with contemporary global challenges.

The conference will feature keynote addresses from renowned scholars including:

  • Professor Maria Gonzalez (University of Barcelona) - "Reimagining Literary Canons in the Digital Age"
  • Dr. Kanat Alimbekov (Central Asian Studies Institute) - "Historical Narratives and National Identity in Post-Soviet Spaces"
  • Professor James Chen (Harvard University) - "Philosophy and Ethics in the Era of Artificial Intelligence"

In addition to plenary sessions, the conference will include panel discussions, workshops, and cultural performances highlighting the rich traditions of Central Asia. Graduate students and early-career researchers are especially encouraged to submit papers for presentation.

Registration for the conference is now open, with early bird rates available until September 1. Yarkin Academy students and faculty can register at a discounted rate. Limited travel grants are available for international participants from developing countries.
